How to use this Yahtzee score card

There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. Four steps:

• Add a column for each player and tap the names to change them.
• Fill in a box after each turn. Leave a box empty if it scored nothing. An empty box counts as zero, which is how a paper pad works too.
• Watch the bonus row: it fills itself in with 35 the moment your six upper boxes reach 63.
• Tap “See who won” at the end, or let the sheet call it when every box is filled.

The sheet stays in this browser, so you can close the tab halfway through a game and come back to the same scores. Clearing it starts a new game.

Can I print a blank Yahtzee score sheet?

Yes (there are two buttons, because they are two different things. Print puts the grid on paper exactly as you see it, a clean black-on-white sheet without the rest of the site: filled in, that is a record of the game. Print a blank sheet gives you an empty score card for the table instead) all thirteen boxes ruled and ready, no numbers and no totals, and nothing on screen is cleared.

Plenty of people want both: the screen while playing, paper when the table is crowded or the phone battery is not. You do not have to pick one, it is the same sheet either way.

What the sheet works out for you

Three things go wrong on a paper Yahtzee pad, and all three are arithmetic rather than rules. This sheet handles them:

• The 63-point upper bonus: the single most forgotten entry on the pad, worth 35 points and often the game.
• The three subtotals and the grand total, recalculated every time you change a number.
• Who is actually ahead, highlighted live, so the standings are visible mid-game and not just at the end.

What it does not do is decide the rules for you: the Yahtzee bonus row is yours to fill in, because whether a second Yahtzee scores 100 depends on what is already in your Yahtzee box.

How many players fit on one sheet?

Two to six, which is exactly what the printed Hasbro pad allows: six columns per sheet. Add and remove players at any time; a player added mid-game simply starts from empty boxes.
