The games you play most (Wingspan, 7 Wonders, Catan, Scopa) come with the categories from their own score sheet. Nothing to set up: turn on the detail and start typing.
A group admin can rename a category, add one for a house rule or an expansion, drop the ones you never count. It stays inside your group.
The detail is optional and the total is always the one you type. Skip it and RivalBoard works exactly as it did before.
Matches you already logged keep the score they were logged with: editing a template never rewrites your history.

No. Add a friend by name and they count on the leaderboard as a guest, with their wins, streaks and head-to-head record. If they sign up later, a personal invite link turns that guest into their account, matches included.
Yes. RivalBoard has free online score sheets for games like Yahtzee, Wingspan and Phase 10: they work in any browser with no account, and print if you prefer paper. At the end you can send the result to the group with a link, or save the match to a group leaderboard.
They answer different questions. BG Stats is a personal logbook: your collection, every play, deep stats per game and two-way sync with BoardGameGeek. RivalBoard is a shared leaderboard for one group of friends: anyone in the group logs a match, and everyone sees the same standings on their own phone. RivalBoard does not manage a collection or sync with BGG. Plenty of players keep BG Stats for their own records and use RivalBoard for the group's rivalry.
