How to use this Skull King score card
There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. Four steps:
- Tap the column headings and put in who is playing.
- The rows are already there: ten of them, and the row number is also the number of cards dealt that round.
- At the end of each round write one number per player. The round’s result, bonuses included. A missed bid goes in with a minus.
- The totals follow every round. “See who won” settles it whenever you want to stop.
The sheet stays in this browser, so a closed tab or a locked phone between rounds does not cost you the game. Clearing it starts a new one.
Why so many rounds go in with a minus
Skull King is the game where a good hand played badly is worth less than nothing, and the sheet is built around that: every box accepts a negative and the totals expect them.
One number per player per round is deliberate. Bids, tricks won and the bonuses for the 14s, the pirates and the mermaid all resolve into a single figure at the end of the round: splitting them into columns would double the width of the grid on a phone to store something nobody looks up afterwards. Can I print a blank Skull King score sheet?
Yes (there are two buttons, because they are two different jobs. Print puts tonight’s grid on paper exactly as you see it, black on white and without the rest of the site. Print a blank sheet gives you an empty pad for the table instead) the ten rounds ruled and ready, no numbers, no totals, and nothing on screen is cleared.
The blank one is the useful one at a full table: ten rounds and eight players is a lot of phone to pass around.
How many players fit on one sheet?
Two to eight, which is the range on the box. The sheet starts with four columns and you can add or remove them at any time.
The ten rounds are fixed, because in Skull King they are the game rather than a target you race to: the tenth round deals ten cards and that is the end of it.
