How to use this 7 Wonders Duel score sheet

There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. Four steps:

• Tap the two names to change them.
• Work down one row at a time, across both columns. Counting by category rather than by player is what stops a recount.
• Leave a box empty if it scored nothing: an empty box counts as zero, the same as a blank line on paper.
• Count the guilds last. What a guild pays depends on what is already on the table, so it is not settled until everything else is.

The sheet stays in this browser, so a closed tab or a locked phone comes back to the same numbers. Clearing it starts a new game.

What the icons on the official pad mean

The pad in the box labels its rows with coloured icons rather than words, which is why it is the thing people look up most often about this game. Row by row, they are the card colours plus four things that are not cards:

• Blue: civilian buildings, the plain victory points.
• Green: science buildings. The symbols on them matter during the game, but at the end you only count the printed points.
• Yellow: commercial buildings.
• Purple: guilds, the ones whose value depends on what is on the table.
• The wonders you built, which is not always the four you drafted: an unbuilt wonder scores nothing.
• The progress tokens you took.
• Your coins, at 1 point per 3.
• The red one is military: not how many tokens you took, but where the conflict pawn ended up.

This sheet uses the words instead of the icons, so there is nothing to decode. It is the same eight rows in the same order.

When there is nothing to add up

Two endings skip the count entirely, and they are the reason a Duel scorepad is often left blank. A military supremacy, when the conflict pawn reaches your opponent capital, wins the game on the spot. So does a scientific supremacy, when you collect six different scientific symbols. In both cases the game is over the moment it happens: nobody totals anything, and the sheet has no job to do.

Everything else goes to the end of the third age and is counted here. If both players finish level on points, the game goes to whoever has more points from civilian buildings, which is why the blue row is worth entering carefully even when the game feels decided.

Can I print a blank 7 Wonders Duel score sheet?

Yes, and there are two buttons because they are two different things. Print puts the grid on paper as you see it, black on white and without the rest of the site. Print a blank sheet gives you an empty pad instead, the eight categories ruled and ready, and nothing on screen is cleared.

The box comes with its own pad, and it runs out: this is the one to reach for then, or when the pad is in the box and the box is at somebody else house.
